FurBall on the Beach Rescue Fundraiser - March 4

Err... We have something to bring up. It’s a FurBall!

The inaugural FurBall on the Beach is a charity dinner with a difference and will be held on the night of Saturday 4th March
on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast with all proceeds going to help rescue animals.

Guests will be asked to "cough it up" to help more than 1,000 animals that will be given shelter and support over the next year by the joint beneficiaries, Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge Society Inc (SCARS) and 4 Paws Animal Rescue.

Spurning the four walls of conventional venues, the event will be held under giant tepees at the water’s edge of one of the Sunshine Coast’s most scenic spots.

SCARS’ spokesperson, Penny Brischke, said “Those lucky enough to secure a ticket will be greeted by the paw-parazzi on the red carpet as they enter, with photo opportunities alongside some of our most adorable rescue pups.

“Tickets also cover delicious food from some of the Sunshine Coast’s best restaurants, your first two drinks, live entertainment, a fur-friend photo booth, live and silent auctions, amazing raffle prizes and more,” Ms Brischke said.

FurBalls are society events held throughout North America and in Asia to raise awareness and funds for animal rescue organisations. They are a salute to the bond between people and their pets.

“These very special celebrations have been held overseas for many years and have played a pivotal role in helping rescue, heal and find homes for tens of thousands of animals. SCARS and 4 Paws are proud to now bring this exciting event to Queensland for the first time,” said Ms Brischke.

When: Saturday 4th March 2017

Where: Cottontree foreshore, Sunshine Coast, QLD, 4558

Sporn Marrow Chew Bone

The Sporn Marrow Chew Bone (originally called the Yuppie Puppy ) is a jerky-flavour filled chewable nylon bone, which promises to control tartar and plaque, assisting with your dog's dental health. After putting it to the test for a number of years with our three Belgian Shepherds, we can attest that it is great for the toughest of chewers and may even save some of your furniture or shoes. Especially recommended during the puppy phase, when your dog is constantly teething and needs something to chew. Chewing this bone is similar to brushing their teeth. As the nylon shreds, it becomes like bristles, removing tartar and plaque build-up from the teeth. These interactive dental chew toys are unique to most other flavoured nylon bones as the marrow is added after the bone has been moulded and cooled. After trialling other brands on the market, we found that the marrow makes the difference and keeps our dogs coming back for more. Our dogs can surely smell it long before they can t...
