More than one in three pet owners (or 3.4 million Australians) were planning on giving their pet a gift on February 14. The biggest spenders were dog owners who were expected to shell out $23.3m, or an average of $6.82 per dog. [1] Americans were tipped to spend in excess of $700 million on Valentine's Day for their pets last year! [2]
