Stonnington Pets in the Park 2017 – March 26



Bring your furry, scaly and feathered friends to Stonnington Pets in the Park to be held on Sunday 26th March in Central Park, Malvern East.

This year's program includes a full day of entertainment, competitions, information and demonstrations. The main stage features live music, pet parades, presentations and an array of stalls offering information on responsible pet ownership, health tips and the latest pet products.


Channel Ten’s Mike Larkan will return as host and will be joined by animal expert and celebrity vet Dr Jack Ayerbe for a Q&A on pet First Aid.

You can show off your pet’s hidden talents by entering the ‘Best Trick’ competition or coordinate your ensemble for a chance to win ‘Best Look-alike’.

For dogs with four left paws, That Dancing Guy and his canine stars Cynder, Sprocket and Bonnie will teach owners how to dance with their dogs.

Expect high energy demonstrations including Kong – 4 Paws Disc Dogs by Goochy’s Behavioural Training, Human Agility and Ball Games from Melbourne Canine Freestyle and stunts from Flipping Disc Dogz. 

The Centre for Service and Therapy Dogs Australia will also be on site to answer any questions you many have about the important services they provide.

Other highlights include face painting for kids, and kids at heart by the multi-award winning Juicy Body Art studio, and The Roo Keepers’ Mobile Zoo, introducing native Australian wildlife including dingoes, snakes, possums and even crocodiles.

Pets in the Park is held in conjunction with Chadstone/East Malvern Rotary Club Family Fun Day and Sounds of Stonnington, featuring local school choirs, dance troupes, carnival rides, great food and community displays.

AWLQ Stray Animals Day Challenge - April 4

AWLQ’s Stray Animals’ Day – a chance to make a $124,000 difference Ambassador NRL Titan Chris McQueen has launched AWLQ’s inaugural Stray Animals’ Day April 4 challenge with a target of $124,000, to cover the cost of running its vital foster house program. “An incredible 6,200 animals, or more than 71% of all animals in AWLQ’s care, spend time in foster care each year,” Chris McQueen said. Crystal Brook Tourist Park - Offleash Area
